Introduction to Printable Case Inserts

CD and DVD inserts are one of the final touches on the visual presentation of a media project. They have to be enticing like a book cover, making its targeted audience want to discover what the disc inside the case has to offer. An insert will convey the contents of the disc via playlists or chapters against background art.

One must also keep in mind that not all inserts are created equal. Inserts must conform to the desired case style. A number of other decisions regarding the final product of an insert must be made including: how many inserts per case, what kind of paper, the type of printer used and whether the inserts will be handled professionally or at-home by the consumer.
